Biennale
Internazionale Dell Arte Contemporanea
| John's
chosen work for the Florence Biennale is in his modern figurative style. It is
exploring the idea of real communication. The images are a metaphor for the human
race. If we really listen to each other on a world scale, perhaps we could achieve
world peace, or at least move towards peace rather than moving further away from
it. In many cases we can say much more without words. John believes that art as
a visual language is much more expressive than mere words. The colour blue is
used , because we all live on the same planet, and from a distance planet earth
seems to radiate a blue colour. He uses this blue as another means of symbolising
the human race. The
"Biennale Internazionale Dell Arte Contemporanea" (The florence Biennale,
Italy) will take place in Florence on the 6th to the 14th of December 2003. |
