Biennale Internazionale Dell Arte Contemporanea:

John has been nominated by the International committee, as one of the artists to represent Ireland at " The Biennale Internazionale Dell Arte Contemporanea " (The florence Biennale, Italy) which will take place in Florence on the 6th to the 14th of December 2003. It is a great honour for John as an Irish Artist to represent Ireland at this international venue, and a great honour, yet again, to be recognised internationally.

Nothing Arty-Farty about Art's Asset Appreciation:

Extract from IRISH INDEPENDENT (Thurs. 12st Nov. 2002)

"While Stock Markets have been suffering, according to the specialist website Artprice.com, international trends have seen the average value of a work of art increasae by almost 19% in a period of little more than 2 years from July 2002 to September 1st last. That experience has certainly been reflected in Ireland, where many works of art have increased by over 20% in a single year. In some cases value increases have been even more spectacular, especially in the case of previously unknow artists who have since gone on to make their names. One such example of this trend is artist John Nolan, some of whose works have doubled in value over the past three years.

A good tip for assessing an artists value is to keep a regular eye on the art press. Basically the more positive reveiws an artist receives from the critics, the more likely it is that his or her work will increase in value.
