in both The Axis Theatre and the schools involved on the 11th of February 2010.

Our
Lady Of Victory Boy's School started in late January with the artist John Nolan
teaching art to Sinead O Sullivan's 3rd class of 27 boys. The class created 27
Pop Art self portraits. John taught the class how to produce the Pop Art portraits
in the style of Andy Warhol using acrylic colours. The class produced 3 fabulous

Jan
Chandler visits John Nolan's Dublin studio
|
John
Nolan had the pleasure of meeting the charming Jan Chandler in his Dublin studio
in January. On her recent whistle stop visit to Ireland, Scotland and England,
the Chicago based gallery owner, Jan Chandler, wanted to purchase more paintings
by John for her Heartland Gallery. Jan
has a passion for Irish culture, in fact anything to do with Ireland.... Irish
art, music, literature, theatre, history..... the list is endless, a true Hibernophile.
John is already looking forward to her next visit which hopefully will be in the
not too distant future. For

Giclee
Prints Of John Nolan's Paintings Now Available
|
Giclee
(gee-clay) is a French word meaning " to spray". The modern inkjet printing process
scans an image digitally and uses high resolution printers with archival inks,
paper and canvas to create fine art reproductions which are almost like the original
painting in colour, clarity and the appearance of texture. John
has been working with Neogen, a Dublin based Graphic Design Company, who have
reproduced 3 paintings from his " Starry Night In Dublin" series and 2 paintings
from his "Floral" series as limited edition signed giclee prints. The reproductions
are printed on canvas.
